50 of these were made, 25 were allocated for the USA and the others were held back for Joe and international dealers. These are like no other guitars offered, they are all one off hand drawn by Joe himself. Guitar stores that were interested in getting one are put into a lottery or random drawing, none of us are guaranteed we will receive any. As such we also would not know which one or two we will get even if we won. The lottery is scheduled for April 15th and will begin shipping then for a May 1st sale date.

Commemorating a quarter-of-a-century of the JS guitar this year, Ibanez teamed with legendary artist and endorser, Joe Satriani, to share yet another aspect of his enviable skill set with the world.

Aside from his vast musical prowess, Satriani has garnered a reputation for his own unique brand of spontaneous artwork, which he has occasionally bestowed upon his personal guitars or other equipment. Over the years, Joe has developed and expanded his style and in 2013 he published a book of his artwork simply titled: Joe’s Artwork 2013. In celebration of this special anniversary of the JS signature model, Joe committed himself to creating a very limited number of these of one-of-a-kind hand-illustrated 25th anniversary instruments for purchase.
