The B-204 by ESP LTD was as far as we know never released in Black. It was available in a Flamed Maple top back in the early 2000's and available today in Burled and Spalted Maple. This specific guitar has some blemishes on it and the Black Hardware is fading and the chrome or nickle below is showing through. 

I would say this one was used at ESP, it has a lot of pick marks (they dont show in the photos) 

This is a sample/preproduction guitar. ESP makes the samples to test out various colors, finishes and to show to dealers prior to the actual model being built. They take them to shows like NAMM and start taking preorders for the new years model. Some Samples are never make it into production models.
