The most noticeable of these is its flamed maple top over its basswood body, finished in great-looking Walnut Brown Satin that brings out the figured grain of the top wood. The F-205FM offers bolt-on construction, with a smooth thin U-shaped 5-piece maple/jatoba neck at 35" scale for great string tension even when down-tuned, and a roasted jatoba fingerboard that offers 24 extra-jumbo frets. The sound of the F-205FM is powered by a set of ESP Designed passive soapbar pickups with active 3-Band EQ.
