This X-Tone Paramount PC-2V was a nice find. It is probably a 2008 model and is in really nice condition. The spots on the back are stuck on there though, it looks to be under the clear coat in the finish. A nice thing about this guitar is the gold plastic pick guard and matching truss rod cover, on the PC-2V in this finish they are normally black. The gold plastics usually come on the same model but with the Pearl White finish.
It is a sample/preproduction guitar. ESP makes the samples to test out various colors, finishes and to show to dealers prior to the actual model being built. They take them to shows like NAMM and start taking preorders for the new years model. Some Samples are never make it into production models.
