I am pretty sure ESP never made this as a production model. It is a sample/preproduction guitar. ESP makes the samples to test out various colors, finishes and to show to dealers prior to the actual model being built. They take them to shows like NAMM and start taking preorders for the new years model. Some Samples are never make it into production models.

The writing on the box "bashed head stock" I was really worried till I opened the box. It really isnt bad. I would probably do worse after tossing back a few running around the house with my guitar (:  Overall the guitar is in great condition if you can get over the small blem on the head stock.
